AIM YP OFFERING FREE LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO ONE MEMBER

One of the goals of AIM Young Professionals of Dearborn County is to cultivate a new generation of leaders in the county.

The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Greater Cincinnati - Dearborn & Ohio Counties have identified leadership development as an important need. They have partnered to create the new Leadership Dearborn program.

AIM YP is proud to sponsor one of our members to participate in the inaugural year of Leadership Dearborn. This is a great opportunity for any individual wanting to hone or develop their leadership skills at no cost.

Leadership Dearborn is a series of 13 class sessions, generally two hours in length, held March 9 through December 14, 2017. The class time consists of presentations by expert speakers involved in their field and followed by open discussion following the presentation. Class time may also include two-minute introductions of program participants and/or project presentations as well as other discussions as pertinent.

Learn more about Leadership Dearborn here (PDF).

Any AIM YP member who would like to be considered for the Leadership Dearborn program should submit a brief, minimum 200-word essay explaining who they are, why they believe they would be a good candidate for the program, and how they would use the experience to benefit their community.

Essays should be submitted to aimyp2@gmail.com by Thursday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. Please include your name, age, city of residence, email address and telephone number. An AIM YP board member will contact the chosen participant on Friday, March 3. The first Leadership Dearborn session follows on March 9.
