MAVERICK CHALLENGE IS UNDERWAY WITH EIGHT PARTICIPANTS

This is awesome! We have a great start and super increase in registrations for the 2013-2014 Maverick Challenge.

If you haven’t heard yet, the Maverick Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition for high school juniors and seniors. AIM YP administers the program in Dearborn County.

The deadline to register for the Maverick Challenge passed on Friday, September 13. We are happy to announce that we have eight teams and individual students from South Dearborn and East Central high schools participating. There are two teams of three students, three teams of two students, and three individuals.

We met with some of the competitors for the first time on Tuesday to get the Maverick Challenge competition rolling. They'll be assembling and fine-tuning business plans over the next few months.

The two winning individuals or teams will claim cash prizes and advance to the regional Maverick Challenge competition in March 2014. Good luck to all our participants!
