Run – or walk quickly – to register for the 4th Annual AIM Young Professionals of Dearborn County 5K.
The footrace is AIM YP’s largest fundraiser of the year for our Maverick Challenge business planning competition and scholarships we provide to students at each of Dearborn County’s three high schools: Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, and East Central.
This year’s 5K takes off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 on the Lawrenceburg Levee and Dearborn Trail (don’t worry about the trail closure, the 5K course is open). Registration and check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. in the lobby of Ivy Tech Community College, 50 Walnut Street, in Lawrenceburg. The start and finish line is at the nearby Levee Bar and Grill.
There are many ways you can participate in this event such as running or walking in the race, volunteering to work at the event or becoming a sponsor of the 5K.
Runners and walkers can register online at www.runningtime.net by Thursday, May 7 for a cost of $20 for participants 14 or older and $10 for kids 13 and under. Pre-registration by May 7 includes a free AIM YP 5K t-shirt. Strollers are allowed with a paid adult.
Don’t wait! Registrations placed after May 7 or on the day of the race will see the cost increase to $25 for ages 14 or older and the 5K t-shirts available in limited supply will cost $10.
Runner divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 and over.
Walker divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
Awards will be presented immediately following the race for the overall top male and female runners and walkers. Also, age group awards will be given to the top male and female runners and walkers in each division.
You’re invited to stick around after the race for a post-party and lunch at the Levee Bar & Grill at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. 5K participants will receive a special discount.
